Unlimited Flights, No Additional Fees: My Experience with the Ultimate Travel Hack So Far.

Updated: Dec 6

I’ve flown almost every major carrier there is—been across the seas and back, multiple times—and the one thing that remains the same is: I don’t care how I get there as long as I arrive alive, within reason. HOWEVER, as your resident travel buddy, I know that not everyone can just hop on one of the Big 3—American, United, or Delta. Those flights can be pricey, and I would hate for people to spend all their money trying to reach a destination and not being able to enjoy it.

And let’s be real, traveling to other states shouldn’t be expensive. We all know this.

So, with that being said, I purchased the Frontier GoWild! Pass so those of you who want to get outside without breaking the bank can do so—and know exactly what to expect. After almost a year and a half of anticipation, I finally got my hands on the Frontier GoWild! Pass! This pass gives me unlimited flights for a month at $149, and I’m putting it to the test. You might remember when I first debated getting Frontier’s All-You-Can-Fly Summer Pass—catch up on that post here.

The original dates for my pass were October 29 to November 28, and I planned to make the most of it. I wanted to see how much I could save in 30 days, I’ve always been about saving money while maximizing experiences, so this was my chance to see just how far $149 could take me. Let’s dive into the details.

Disclaimer: If you don’t fly Frontier, won’t fly Frontier, or hate Frontier—this blog is not for you. This is for those who want to know what to expect, have some time, and want to save some money. Please do not tell me how much you do not like the airline.

The Rundown of the Pass

  • Unlimited flights: Subject to availability.

  • Destinations: Frontier’s domestic and international routes.

  • Booking rules: Domestic flights can be booked the day before departure, while international flights can be booked 10 days out. Select routes may allow early booking with a small fee.

  • Extras: Earn miles on eligible purchases and use your Elite Status for free bags and seats if applicable.

The Bag Situation is no longer a situation.

We all know Frontier's bag policy can be a little... much. But here’s the trick: Takeoff Luggage. This bag has been my secret weapon for navigating those fees and keeping my travel life simple. It’s like the perfect sidekick to the GoWild! Pass. The spacious carry-on fits all my essentials and meets Frontier’s strict personal item size requirements. And because I used my code (BreeLeaves), I got 10% off—another win for the wallet.

The Trips Taken (Leg 1)

Trip 1: Kicking Off the Savings - Round Trip to New York

  • Route: DFW to LGA (one way), LGA to DFW (return)

  • Cost Without Pass: $305 (DFW to LGA), $465 (LGA to DFW)

  • Cost With Pass: $15.11 (DFW to LGA), $30 (LGA to DFW)

  • Savings: $289.89 (DFW to LGA), $435 (LGA to DFW)

This trip was the catalyst for purchasing the pass because, as you can see, without it, I would have been paying almost $700 to go to New York—and who is gonna do that? $700 for a round-trip domestic flight is egregious, and I’d pray I never pay that.

Trip 2: From Christmas to Concerts

  • Flight A: DFW to MCO

    • Cost Without Pass: $108

    • Cost With Pass: $49

  • Flight B: MCO to LAS

    • Cost Without Pass: $96

    • Cost With Pass: $15.96

  • Flight C: LAS to DFW

    • Cost Without Pass: $285

    • Cost With Pass: $15.11

  • Savings: $409.93

This trip was about kicking off my ICE! tour at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Florida and then hopping over to Vegas for the Usher: Past, Present, Future concert.

Leg 2: The Journey Continues

When I initially purchased the Frontier GoWild! Pass for $149 (active October 29 to November 28), I knew it had potential. But I didn’t stop there—I extended the pass for an additional month (November 29 to December 30) to keep the savings rolling.

That means I’ve spent just $300 for two months of unlimited travel, right in the heart of the holiday season—the most expensive time to travel. And as someone who’s always on the move, this pass has become my ultimate tool for stretching my PTO (which I haven't even used for these trips) and saving big.

Wrapping It Up (For Now)

Frontier’s GoWild! Pass has been worth every penny, and I’m only halfway through this journey. With unlimited flights and the ability to save hundreds of dollars, this pass is a game-changer for anyone who loves to travel and wants to explore the US more. I’ll be updating this blog in real-time after each trip, so stay tuned for more adventures!
